Cobalt Health (Cobalt) is a medical charity providing diagnostic imaging to support the NHS and other healthcare providers using the very latest state-of-the-art technology.
We support the needs of over 130,000 patients each year through Imaging Centres in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Birmingham, and through a fleet of mobile MRI, PET/CT and CT scanners.
The Charity also participates in and funds research, mainly relating to oncology and dementia, and is a provider of education and training for healthcare professionals on a local and national basis.
Cobalt's mission is to pioneer innovation in medical imaging diagnosis
by investing in equipment, integrated research and education, to
improve outcomes for patients now and in the future.
"Starting a new job can be daunting, but arriving at Cobalt Health I was instantly made to feel welcome and part of the team. I was equipped with sufficient support and ongoing training, including the opportunity to see an MRI scanner in action. It’s been so refreshing to work in such an open and honest team environment where staff members are approachable and happy to help with any questions, no matter how silly! I have been fully supported throughout my time with the company and would recommend anyone to join the Cobalt family."
"I partnered with Cobalt to set up the first rapid access clinic more than 10 years ago, we have been successfully collaborating since, enabling patients to obtain a diagnosis and treatment plan within a matter of days rather than weeks."
"Providing the first NHS commissioned lung cancer screening service in England brought several challenges for a hospital provider. By partnering with an experienced mobile imaging provider, we have successfully overcome the significant logistical and staffing risks, and brought a bespoke, high quality clinic solution to the ‘hard to reach’ population. The success of the programme, and the excellent participant feedback, is due in no small part to Cobalt Health and ensures that we remain operationally ready to extend the service to neighbouring CCGs in the coming months."

"The Cobalt staff, including radiographers, management, accounts etc were all a pleasure to deal with. They were accommodating, profiessional, friendly and became part of the Hospital team. We would most certainly have Cobalt as a service provider back again should the occasion arise."
