Job role
This is an exciting time to join the charity in a newly created IT Projects and Support Engineer role as we look for someone with a strong background in IT infrastructure project management, solution implementation, and technical support.
As IT Projects and Support Engineer, you will assist us as we continue to enhance our IT systems and infrastructure. This blended role will see you working closely with the IT Network Manager, leading on key projects, installing, and maintaining new and existing applications such as SharePoint, Intune and Autopilot and ensuring our IT systems remain secure and resilient. In addition, approximately 25% of your week will be spent providing 1st and 2nd line support to the internal team.
Playing a crucial role in managing IT projects and providing technical support, means a strong background in IT projects, IT technical support, system maintenance, and security are vital for this role. An ITIL qualification and strong knowledge of SharePoint, data protection and information governance principles are essential, and Prince 2 or CNNA or similar is desirable but not essential, as is experience of Cyber Essentials Plus. As part of small IT team, a problem-solving approach, strong communication, planning and attention to detail are key.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, based at Cheltenham with some hybrid working.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
